USNS LEWIS B. PULLER MLP-3 Christening

Wie angekündigt wurde am 07.02.2015 bei der Werft von National Steel and Shipbuilding Corporation (NASSCO) in San Diego, CA die dritte Mobile Landing Platform, die zukünftige USNS LEWIS B. PULLER MLP-3 getauft. Taufpatin war Ms. Martha Puller Downs, eine Tochter von General Puller. MLP-3 ist als Afloat Forward Staging Base (AFSB) ausgelegt (siehe hier) und unterscheidet sich deutlich von MLP-1 USNS MONTFORD POINT und MLP-2 USNS JOHN GLENN.
